Swirl Flower Crochet Pattern
Here is what you will need:
- worsted weight yarn
- US H-8 / 5 mm crochet hook
- tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers

Notes:
- The swirl flower is crocheted facing front; do not turn.
- Finished flower shown here was worked up in worsted weight yarn and an H-8 / 5 mm crochet hook and measures approximately 6 in. Experiment with different yarn weights and hook sizes for a range of gorgeous sizes.
Special Stitches:
- Reverse single crochet (rev sc), also known as crab stitch – with right side of work facing you, insert hook, from front to back, in the next stitch to the right; yarn over and pull through the stitch; yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.
- Treble crochet (tr) – yarn over twice and insert the hook into designated stitch, yarn over pull through stitch, (yarn over and pull yarn through the two loops on the hook) 3 times.
- Double Treble crochet (dtr) – yarn over three time and insert the hook into designated stitch, yarn over pull through stitch, (yarn over and pull yarn through the two loops on the hook) 4 times.

Ch 14, Sl st in 7th ch from hook.
Petal 1: Work 1 sc in next ch, 1 hdc in next, 2 dc in next, 2 tr in next, 1 tr in next, 2 dtr in next, 1 dtr in last — 10 sts.
Do not turn, work 1 rev sc in each st, Sl st in ring — 11 sts.
Petal 2: Do not turn. Working in the back loops of the rev sc from the previous petal, sk 1st rev sc, work 1 sc in next st, 1 hdc in next, 2 dc in next, 2 tr in next, 1 tr in next, 2 dtr in next, 1 dtr in last (the last 2 rev sc from previous petal will remain unworked) — 10 sts.
Do not turn, work 1 rev sc in each st, Sl st in ring — 11 sts.
Petals 3 through 10: Repeat Petal 2.
Fasten off leaving a tail about 5 in. long. Sew first and last petals together. Weave in end.
