My Crocheted Plates

crochet plates

Yay!! I finished my crocheted plates, and I am so excited about how they came out!

Do you remember a few weeks back when Penny from Knot Forgotten Studio was here and showed us how to make her awesome crocheted plates? Well, if you missed her tutorial, you should definitely check it out here.

I purchased a few plates and couldn’t wait to get started. I followed Penny’s pattern for the border using Lion Brand Bonbon yarn and a 2.5 mm hook. I used some of my leftover yarn scraps and a G hook for the flower in the center and followed the pattern I found here.

Want a closer look? I think this first one is my favorite!

    Dear Kara,

I just knew your plates were going to be beauties! Those colors!! WOW!! It’s just what they needed to make them POP!
I think the three of them coordinate so nicely together and make such a lovely wall grouping. My favorite is the yellow one. 🙂
I hope you find a special place to hang them so everyone can enjoy them. They really deserve a special place. I also hope you share them on your blog…everyone will just be gaga over them! I can’t wait to read all of the comments you’ll get about them! 🙂
You know… they just make me happy and cheerful when I look at them. 🙂 Take your bow Kara….they are LOVELY!!!!
    Happy Crocheting, penny x

These are gorgeous and I have a suggestion….why not use styrofoam plates? Very inexpensive, readily available, and lightweight ! Just a thought…thanks for sharing the plates pattern….cheers from Texas

      That’s a great idea, Marie!
