I finally started crocheting up some things for Valentine’s Day!
Last week I shared the pattern to make these pretty crochet roses and knew I wanted to use them for something for Valentine’s Day. Then I thought … why not a crochet rose heart wreath. I cut out a heart shape from a thick piece of cardboard we had laying around and then just made enough roses to cover the shape. I used hot glue to attach them. I am quite happy with how it came out and might just have to leave it up all year!

This is such a gorgeous wreath!
I shared a link to this post on my own blog update which focuses on adorable and free valentine’s inspired crochet patterns.
Hope that’s OK.
I made this wreath so simplet but so elegant. I’m always looking for decorative ideas for my office. This will look beautiful on my office door. Thanks so much for sharing.
I love the heart wreath and think would be a great present for my girlfriend who crochets. I would like to ask is it possible to purchase one.
Hi Scott 🙂 So glad you like it! Unfortunately I do not sell finished items. You are welcome however to put up a post on my Facebook page to see if you can commission another crafter to make it. Hope that helps!
I love it — I need something to liven up my door for Valentine’d Day– very pretty. Thank You.
Thank you so much for the inspiration, it’s absolutely lovely! I finished mine just in time for Valentines Day. I’ve pinned it on my pinterest account if you want to see what you inspired! Have a great one!
I love everything that you do, but this is especially pretty! I love it! I shared it in a Valentine’s Day Wreath Roundup. I’d love for you to take a peek and share if you think your audience would like it. 🙂

Thank you for posting the free wreath pattern! It is fabulous:) I have included it on my blog Karla’s Making It (linking to your pattern, of course)! You can view it here http://www.karlasmakingit.com/free-crochet-patterns/free-crochet-wreath-patterns/
Kara, I clicked on the rose pattern and that came up fine, but when I click on the “see how I did it here” button to see your assembly instructions it just takes me back to the beginning – I’m sure I could figure it out but why reinvent the wheel, or wreath in this case
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks!
Hi Donna 🙂 This first post does have how I did it. I cut a piece of heavy cardboard into a heart shape and then made the amount of roses to cover it.
Hi Finally made all the roses but i have a problem couldn’t find the pattern how to put together .Can you make a video by chance that would be so awesome, so did you put roses back and front of the cardboard or just the front please please tell me i am so excited to finish my wreath. Thank you so much hope to hear from you soon….
Hi Josie 🙂 I just pasted the roses to cover the front of my cardboard. Hope that helps!

This was super fun to make! The flowers work up so easily! Another great pattern!
Where is the link to the pattern for the wreath? been clicking on everything that is logical and can’t find the actual instructions for linking the roses into a wreath.

Oh how beautiful. Not your grandma’s crochet. Although my grams crochet was pretty. There is just something about today’s crochet that is timeless and wonderful. That’s the way your wreath is speaking to me. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
So so charming!! I would take up crocheting, but my brain can only handle one hobbie addiction at a time. So thanks for letting me go through that one … with you ~ Mary

Sorry if I’m writing to the wrong person. I’m trying to get the directions on how to put the wreath together. I received the pattern for the roses, but not how to put the wreath together.
I cannot get the pattern for the rose valentine wreath when I click on the link.
Hi there, I believe what she did is she cut out a piece of cardboard (i’m sure you could probably use another sturdy thing if you don’t want to use cardboard.) into a heart shape. Then she created enough roses to fill in the space of the cardboard heart. After that she then glued the crochet roses onto the cardboard. I hope this helps as instructions on what to do (Also cut out the Inner part of the heart too, so that the roses stand out more)
You are correct 🙂
Hi Kara, this is the most beautiful wreath I ever seen! I’m crazy about roses. Love the colors too. Thanks so much for sharing.
Have a fabulous week!
