I recently had the chance to preview two new crochet titles from Interweave and knew that they would be a big hit with my readers too! So, of course I was very excited when the generous folks over at Interweave graciously offered to give away a copy of each to a lucky P2P reader!!
Before we get started with the giveaway, let me tell you a little bit about each title …
It Girl Crochet
by Sharon Zientara
136 pages; $22.99
In It Girl Crochet, author Sharon Zientara combines the best of crochet and fashion with a collection of 23 stylish accessories. The patterns are perfect for crochets from beginner to advanced and range from hats, bags, scarves, mittens and fingerless mitts, belts, shawlettes, socks and other wardrobe staples.
The book is organized into three fashion styles: Art Nouveau, Bohemian, and Mod. The designs use basic crochet techniques as well as more unusual techniques such as intarsia, Tunisian crochet, tapestry crochet, beading, appliqué, and join-as-you-go motifs. Along with detailed instructions, many of the projects include stitch diagrams as well as brief sidebars to illuminate the trends, personalities, and art and architectural movements that inspired the pieces.
Want a peek of some of my favorites from the book? I am sure you will love them too!

In Reversible Color Crochet, designer Laurinda Reddig shares her award-winning crochet technique for creating clear images that look exactly the same on both sides. She presents her method while sharing 28 reversible squares and 10 projects.
Laurinda explains the basics of her technique and how to work multiple colors (even 7 at the same time!) in single, half-double and double crochet. She also shows us how to handle increases and decreases, as well as how to create vibrant, graphic colorwork squares that feature striped, chevrons, diamonds and curved shapes in multiple colors simply by making minor adjustments in how to work the yarn before and after color changes.
