My Adventures in Polymer Clay

When I was away in Ocean Grove with my mom and my sister we had some girls bonding time while we crafted. I had fun with my polymer clay and thought I would show you all what I made.  Since I am loving my other polymer clay hooks (see here) I made another one. I think I even love this one best! And I find the clay to make it more comfortable to work with since it is a thinner hook.

What to do with the leftovers? I got some inspiration from Polka Dot Cottage to make some buttons …

And of course there is always a need for beads. I also thought a couple toggle closures would be fun …

And I’ve been loving a wooden cross I  keep seeing in a catalog I get and thought I would try to make one like it out of clay.

Hi Kara. I LOVE everything you made with the polymer clay, and the patterns are SO pretty. I’ve been wanting to try polymer clay but haven’t gotten there yet, but now I’m inspired. Thank you for sharing and see you at the Matryoshka CAL. 🙂

No shabby at all. I have always wanted to try this. Good idea with the leftovers Kara…oh the possibilities with buttons! Inspiring as always. 🙂

Ooh, you will be a full-blown addict in no time! 🙂 The experimenting, I think, is half the fun. I’m getting the itch to clear off my work table and get back to it myself. Thanks for linking back to my tutorial!

great idea for the crochet hook handle, I must do that myself! Did you bake the clay with the hook in place, or add it afterwards?

I really like how it feels with the handle too. I did bake it with the aluminium hook in the clay. Hope that helps 🙂

[…] pattern from the class suggested, but this works for me. And do you recognize the toggle from my fun polymer clay day? And of course I had to personalize it even more with some owl lining.  Love […]
