I would like you to meet my new little friend “Rudy”! He is a sweet little reindeer that I made as part of a Craftsy class I tried out, Woodland Animals. The pattern was given as part of the course materials, but I added a few touches to Christmas it up a bit. I changed the color of the nose to red and added a little red bobble collar and holly leaves. You can find the holly leaf and berries pattern here.
Overall, the Woodland Animals class was a lot of fun. Stacey Trock was the instructor and kept the class very upbeat and cheerful. I would say the class is perfect for beginning crocheters. It starts off very basic, starting with a slip knot and chain, and takes you through each step of making your animal. However, although more experienced crocheters may pick up a tip here and there, they may prefer just to skip to the patterns and refer back to the class if they need any clarification.
Now I think I will go make a girlfriend for Rudy, perhaps with a pretty little bow 🙂
