I’ve been laid up in bed these past few days with bronchitis. Yuck! Fever and cough and all around feeling crummy. I haven’t felt well enough to work on anything that involves thinking or counting or following a pattern, but I can’t just sit here and do nothing … I like to be busy, even if it’s just my hands. Then I remembered this yarn I bought recently that I have been meaning to show you. I bought it to make an afghan for my living room. What do you think of the colors? I think they will go well with my wall color, as you can see behind the basket, don’t you think?
It is the perfect sick day project. My vision for the afghan is nothing too fancy … I envision randomly alternating rows of different colors and different widths. I plugged the colors into the Random Stripe Generator at Biscuits and Jam to get an idea of what it would look like. Love it!
I haven’t really been following this sequence but have instead just been grabbing the next color that I think would go best. I really love how it is coming out! And it has definitely been helping to keep my mind off of how yucky I feel. I’ve worked it to about 2 or 3 feet so far. Once I am feeling better I will snap a picture to show you.
Hope you are all doing well!
