Fair Isle Crochet: Demystifying Colorwork … HUGE Discount!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

A huge thanks to Craftsy for sponsoring this post and class discount!

I have such a fun treat for you today! We’ve been taking a lot lately about all the benefits that Craftsy’s online classes have to offer and today Craftsy has offered to give Petals to Picots readers a 50% discount on one of their most popular online classes … Fair Isle Crochet: Demystifying Colorwork! That brings it down to only $14.99 for the class!!

Expert instructor, author, and designer Karen Whooley leads this online class and demystifies Fair Isle charts and techniques for creating your own colorful Fair Isle patterns. With over 3 hours of instruction, you will learn how to read charts, incorporate two and even three colors into your patterns, seamlessly change colors, minimize your jogs, and the proper way to carry your yarn to prevent bulk. Karen also discusses the most common mistakes found in Fair Isle crochet as well as how to fix them and prevent them in the future.

The class also includes 3 complimentary Fair Isle patterns that you will work through along with Karen as you learn the techniques. The patterns include a gorgeous Fair Isle hat, the Poet’s Shawl, and a Tapestry Trivet. As with all Craftsy classes you can watch the lessons at your own pace, as often as you’d like, for as long as you like. You can also insert notes, add a bookmark, engage with your virtual classmates, and show off your finished projects if you desire.

You can take advantage of the discounted class from now until  10/4/14 at midnight MT by clicking this special sale link: Fair Isle Crochet: Demystifying Colorwork. And don’t forget to show me what you learned!

Hi Kara – Thanks for the class details. I’ll be enrolling as I have always wanted the ease of crochet with the finish of knitting. Cheers Moke xxx

I’ve done fair isle while knitting but never while crocheting. I’d love to learn this technique!

I have never really considered fair isle as something you can do with crochet, these pieces look amazing. I will definitely be considering these classes, thank you!
